The Toronto Humane Society has launched its annual “Home For The Holidays” adoption campaign. This year in addition to the usual dogs, rabbits, hamsters and cats the campaign will be looking to rehome abandoned Discord kittens.

Recent statistics show a troubling trend of Discord kitten abandonment citing “not underage enough” as the leading reason among mods.

“It’s troubling how many people will get a pet without thinking it through,” said head of media relations at the Toronto Humane Society, Damon Marcel. “We have an epidemic of mods adopting kittens and then tossing them aside.”

“Discord kittens are very labour intensive,” said Discord user rights activist, junko_enoshima_simp. “They need cat ear headphones, HRT prescriptions and all the latest Nitro items. It is a job for the most empathetic angels among us.”

The Toronto Humane Society has all of their available kittens posted on their website for any interested parties.

Prospective adopters will be asked to provide proof of employment and at least three months of rent invoices, which is a low bar but hopes are equally as low.
