Top five absolute MUST-GO Frosh events!

Caleb Jackson
TMU’s Frosh this year is going to be a real winner. Here are some of the best events to sink your freshman teeth into!

1. President Mohamed Lachemi is doing vape tricks on a big rock at Lake Devo

Lachemi is unrivaled in his ability to blow vape rings like a halfling, and has promised the show will be “unlike any other event at the university this year.” He has likened it to the beloved Disney production Fantasia 2000. Be sure to catch him at Lake Devo every day of Frosh from 3 p.m to 3:15 p.m, with a grand finale on Friday where he has gone on record saying he will perform his “Special Move”.

2. The Inaugural Gould Street Running of The Rats

Another first for our beloved university, The Orientation Committee has taken inspiration from Pamplona, Spain’s own annual Running of the Bulls to present the student body with new thrills. In the absence of bulls, a colony of rats from our very own Gould Street dumpsters have been recruited for the momentous occasion. This is the perfect opportunity to see the sights and get to know our campus, while also growing acquainted with your new furry little neighbors! Don’t let them catch you.

3. The SLC’s sixth-floor beach will be clothing-optional for the duration of Frosh

This one is for all you Hanlan’s Point fans out there.

4. Paper boat racing in a flooded Pitman Hall hallway

Experience Pitman Hall’s latest and greatest water feature as the entire fourth floor has been filled to waist level with the water of one neglected toilet. This one is a great team building exercise and allows any future residents to get used to the unfortunate plumbing. All materials will be provided for the boats, so there’s no reason not to let your inner sailor loose this week! Seafaring attire is optional but encouraged.

5. Jorgensen Hall LIVE

Experience fun like you never have before in our very own Jorgenson Hall for their take on the beloved SLC/DCC live events. Engage in activities like pin the notice on the corkboard, getting some grub at the Hub Cafe (payment still expected), and keeping the noise to a minimum because there are a lot of professors working hard within their chambers to provide you with the education you paid for. We simply cannot wait to see you there.
