Pope awards Abnormal School citation for services to Catholicism

Pope Francis has bestowed upon the Abnormal School the honour of a citation in the Vatican Apostolic Archives. This is the first time an Instagram account has been given this honour. 

In a ceremony on Friday His Holiness commended the Toronto-based publication on its contributions to the Roman Catholic faith. 

“Joy is evidence of living in harmony with the Word of God,” said His Holiness. “The Abnormal School brings uninhibited joy to all who read, which is evidence to me that their writers have truly seen the face of Christ.” 

In an exclusive interview the elusive Editor-in-Chief of the Abnormal School, Ella Miller expressed delight in the proclamation. 

“We’re stoked,” said Miller. “My Irish grandma is going to love this.” 

There was slight controversy over the citation as the remaining masthead members are all either agnostic, full-blown atheists or Jewish.
